'The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.' The birth anniversary of Gandhi ji is celebrated as the International Day of Non-Violence all over the world. Shemford Futuristic K-12 School, Auraiya conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Oct 1, 2020. The celebration started with Gayatri Mantra followed by mesmerizing and inspiring songs 'Raghupari Raghav' and 'Bande Me Hai Dum' melodiously sung by ShemAuraiyans. A speech on Gandhiji's life apprised the students about the importance of Gandhi Jayanti. A skit was also presented that showcased the 'Champaran Satyagraha'. Students also discussed lessons learnt from Gandhi ji's life through his noble thoughts. In another activity conducted during Art and Craft classes, students made admirable portraits of Gandhi Ji under the guidance of Art teacher, Mr Ajeet Kumar.
