Our humble homage to the Iron Man of India on his 145th Birth Anniversary!
'Manpower without unity is not a strength unless it is harmonised and united properly.'
National Unity Day is celebrated on October 31 every year to pay tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of the founding leaders of Republic of India, who was instrumental in keeping India united.
ShemAuraiyans celebrated his birthday with great zest and enthusiasm. A special assembly was conducted by Class I-III students as facilitated by their class teachers. The celebration began with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra, invoking blessings of the almighty. Later, the students took the National Unity Day Pledge. They presented beautiful self-created posters, delivered speeches, enacted as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and shared his thoughts about unity, and recited self-composed acrostic poems on UNITY. They dressed up exquisitely and presented patriotic songs highlighting unity in diversity.
To further enhance their knowledge and foster critical thinking, various activities were held during QCT, Art and craft and language classes. They shared their views through Essay writing during their Language classes, created thought-provoking posters during Art 'n' Craft classes and participated in related quizzes during Social Science classes.
All the activities carried the message that our country will become great only when unity will become our identity.
Ms Meenakshi Narula, the Principal, appreciated the students and the teachers for their efforts and encouraged them to keep up the enthusiasm for every event.
