The need for Integrated Instruction is more compelling than ever for two reasons: the way that students think and process information is changing, and the world for which we are preparing them is changing. Creating and performing in Arts is highly interactive. Not only does it appeal to students with diverse learning styles, but it also allows students to make connections among the different branches of learning and to reinforce their understanding and knowledge. To expand the concentration and focusing skills of the students beyond desire for instant gratification, the teachers should also be learners first and consistently upgrade themselves. With the same objective, we, at Shemford Futuristic K-12 School, Auraiya ensure regular up-gradation of the teaching skills of our teachers. The Academic Manager and our Social Science faculty Mr Ajay Vikram and Mr Siddharth Adhikary enhanced their 'Art-Integration with Social Sciences' skills through an engaging workshop on June 21, 2020, facilitated by Ms Yogita Kapil, Ms Seema Sahay and moderated by Mr Mathews K Thomas. This is assuredly going to empower our students to make constructive use of their adeptness at multi-tasking and become active rather than receptive learners.
