Stories can be appealing educational tools as they engage students, are believable and entertaining and enable students to readily recall facts. Shemford Futuristic K-12 School, Auraiya organised a special session on 'Developing Life Skills through Storytelling' on Jan 23, 2021, to facilitate the process of imbibing values and provocate creativity. The Resource persons for the day Ms Anuradha Dhiman, Mr Suresh Kumar Grover and Ms Rupali engaged the students through inspirational stories. The session began with some inspiring anecdotes from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's life by Dr Meenakshi Narula, the Principal. The same was followed by awe-inspiring stories on 'Cleanliness', 'Health 'n' Hygiene', 'Parallel Education' and 'Teachers as Co-learners' by the eminent resource persons. The students were totally engrossed in the session. Not only the students but also the teachers enhanced their storytelling skills. Dr Narula urged the teachers to use storytelling as one of their pedagogical tactics to connect with students and work toward desired student learning outcomes.
