Put on Your Thinking Caps!
The idiom, “Put on your thinking cap,” has been used in one form or another since the 17th century to indicate that it is time to think hard to solve a particular problem. The same idea has been incorporated into one of the top brainstorming techniques: the Six Thinking Hats by Edward de Bono.
Shemford Staff, under the mentorship of Ms Meenakshi Narula, the Principal, explored this strategy during regular staff brainstorming sessions. As they wore each hat, they learnt how to think in different ways to brainstorm and approach problems from multiple angles. After all, Creative thinking is not a talent; it is a skill that can be learned.
We are looking forward to amazing brainstorming sessions with the students as well on similar grounds.
