Shemford staff completed a professional development session on Improving Early Age Mathematics conducted by Prof Raz Kupferman - Co-founder and Chief Scientist, Matific, Israel. He is a Professor in the Einstein Institute for Mathematics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prof Raz Kupferman’s research focuses on analysis, geometry and their applications in the material sciences. He carried out his post-doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley. Prof. Kupferman is also involved in the field of Mathematics education. He holds a Ph.D. in physics from Tel Aviv University, received in 1995.
